Stock junkies on the iOS or Android platform could install the Wall Street Journal app in order to keep track of the stock market. Well, unless they had an Android phone. Those with Android handsets were, oddly enough, left out of the loop. Well, until now, anyway. There’s finally been a smartphone release of the app.
The Wall Street Journal mobile app, available for free from the Android Market, runs on phones running Android 2.0-2.3.3. The app can be used to obtain live updates from the stock market. It offers a wide range of news on business, technology, and the marketplace; allowing you to view real times quotes and send that information. Basically, it can do everything that the other iterations of the app can do.
Now, there’s a caveat to the price of the app. While the download is a free one, some of the content available through the application is not. Some news on the Wall Street Journal application is only available to paid subscribers willing to shell out $2/week for some of the premium content.
You can download the app from the Android marketplace.
