Salman gets Ready for a concert

Salman Khan is going all out to promote his forthcoming film Ready. On June 2, a day before the film’s release, the actor will organise The Ready Live Mad Concert. Apart from Salman, it will also feature Asin. Other actors from Ready may also play a role in the show, but nothing has been con
firmed yet.

3rd Rock Entertainment, which put together the Dum Maaro Dum concert where Abhishek Bachchan performed, is in charge of this event as well. “We’re trying to organise it on the scale of an International rock show. We plan to match the standards of a Bryan Adams concert,” says Prashant Shirshat from 3rd Rock Entertainment.

The three-hour long concert will be held from 6 pm to 9.30 pm at the Tulip Star hotel in Juhu. The organisers are expecting more than 10,000 people to attend the show. Patrons will be selected through contests held at Planet M and Provogue outlets around the city.

The concert will start with a fashion show, where 40 models from all over the country will walk the ramp. Salman will make a grand entry on the ramp and will perform to one of Ready’s songs. “Right now, I can’t disclose how Salman will enter, which song he will perform to or whether he will ride in on a bike or will make an aerial entry. You will have to wait and see for yourself,” says Prashant.

Salman will be on stage for 40 minutes, after which other bands will take over the music concert. “We are talking to a lot of bands. As of now, the scheduled performances include Trip Recipe, Shibani Kashyap and DJ Ramji Gulati,” he says.
