Lady Gaga Takes #1 Spot from Oprah on Forbes Celebrity 100 List

It's Lady Gaga in first, Oprah Winfrey second and Justin Bieber third in the race for placement on "The Celebrity 100" list for 2011.
According to Forbes, "Lady Gaga tops our power list not just because of her $90 milion in earnings, but also because of her 32 million Facebook fans and 10 million Twitter followers."
Oprah Winfrey, with $290 million in earnings, has held the number one crown on 4 different occasions but dropped to 2nd place this year.
Newcomer 17-year-old Justin Bieber, also the youngest on the list, danced his way into the ranks for the first time, landing at the impressive third place. The charismatic young star reported $53 million in earnings.
U2 placed 4th, Elton John 5th and Tiger Woods dropped to 6th place. Following at a close 7th with $45 million in earnings is Taylor Swift. Rocker Bon Jovi returns, holding the 8th position and $125 million in earnings, with Simon Cowell at 9 and LeBron James in 10th place.
The annual Celebrity List is compiled from a combination of celebrity earnings and media metrics on sites such as Google, Twitter, Facebook as well as an analysis of press mentions and coverage in all media. Forbes magazine was founded in the United States in 1917.
